The Australian Golf Course Superintendents Association ( AGCSA ) was formed in 1981 to further the profession of Golf Course Management and now has members from all states of Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Rim.

The United States Golf Association (USGA) has served as the national governing body of golf for the U.S., its territories and Mexico since its formation in 1894. It's a non-profit organization run by golfers for the benefit of golfers. The Turf Management section explains their involvement in the management of Golf Courses in North America.
