The title is misleading. May 19, 2008

Should really be titled "The Not so Complete Idiot's Guide to Music Composition for people clever enough to understand Music theory". Before I got to the 'Who should read this book' I realised it wasn't me. The author suggests reading the sister guide on music theory first. Having said that much of what was written still made a lot of sense although it was tricky to digest and slow going.
I appreciate that short-cuts never really work out how you expect and I should have checked this out in a bookshop as there was no write-up in Amazon but that's what being an Idiot is all about.
Rating it at 3 stars might seem harsh. I thought it was good while those with musical skills might think it's brilliant... but then it wouldn't be for Complete Idiots would it?!!?
